LINKSPREED Joins Germany's EUDI Wallet Service Provider Ecosystem

Albuquerque, New Mexico, September 23, 2026 — LINKSPREED LLC today announced that it has registered as a listed service provider on Germany’s official EUDI Wallet service provider marketplace, part of the country’s national infrastructure for the EU Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet. The listing is a first step toward integrating UIID, LINKSPREED’s identity platform, with Germany’s state-backed digital identity ecosystem.

Germany’s EUDI Wallet programme, expected to launch publicly under the name “d-you” in early 2027, is coordinated by the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and State Modernisation (BMDS) and SPRIND, the federal agency for breakthrough innovation. Bundesdruckerei supplies the infrastructure that derives Person Identification Data (PID) from the German national ID card, while the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and Fraunhofer AISEC contribute to the ecosystem’s security assurance. The programme sits inside the EU-wide eIDAS 2.0 mandate, which requires every member state to offer citizens a certified EUDI Wallet, with a first binding milestone in December 2026 and Germany’s own rollout targeted for January 2027.

What the marketplace listing actually is

The marketplace is a public directory on Germany’s official EUDI Wallet portal, where organisations planning to issue or accept EUDI Wallet credentials register to become discoverable to government bodies, relying parties, and fellow issuers. German authorities are explicit that inclusion is not an endorsement, certification, or quality assessment — it is a visibility and coordination mechanism. The more consequential step is the accompanying technical sandbox, a testbed for exchanging and verifying identity data under conditions modelled on the live environment, using the OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP protocols that will govern real credential exchange once the wallet is live. Swiss identity provider Procivis, which supports parts of the sandbox infrastructure, has taken the same path and appears on the same marketplace.

“Being listed on Germany’s own service provider marketplace is a small step on paper, but it is one of the most direct, most credible moves available to us in Europe,” said Marc Herdina, Founder and CEO of LINKSPREED. “It puts UIID directly in front of the same ecosystem that will decide how identity works for every person and every business in Germany from 2027 onward. We’ve also applied for the technical sandbox, and we intend to use what we learn there across every other European market we are entering.”

LINKSPREED’s next step is to secure sandbox access, assess which credential formats and protocols UIID must support, and close any gaps before requesting formal onboarding as a relying party and, in time, as an issuer of attribute attestations.

About UIID

UIID is LINKSPREED’s universal digital identity platform, built to give individuals a single, self-owned identity they establish once and carry across borders, institutions, and services. Instead of a separate login or credential for every government body, employer, school, or platform, UIID lets a person hold verified attributes about themselves — identity, age, qualifications, licences, and more — in one wallet they control, choosing what to share, with whom, and when. Credentials in UIID are cryptographically verifiable and portable, so a qualification issued by one institution can be trusted elsewhere in the network without re-verification. LINKSPREED is pursuing UIID’s integration into national wallet ecosystems, including Germany’s, as part of a strategy to make UIID one of the connective identity layers of what the company calls Web4, a more decentralised, user-owned successor to today’s platform-controlled internet.

About LINKSPREED

LINKSPREED LLC is a technology company headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, building infrastructure for decentralised digital identity and the emerging Web4 internet, and operating globally through the LINKSPREED GROUP. Founded and led by Marc Herdina, LINKSPREED develops UIID alongside a wider portfolio of infrastructure and cloud technologies, and is pursuing partnerships and regulatory pathways across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to expand UIID’s reach as a cross-border identity standard.
