LINKSPREED Launches Renewed Attempt to Build an EVERYTHING App — Fully UIID-Based, as a Global Alternative to WeChat
LINKSPREED has begun building a fully UIID-based EVERYTHING App directly on the Web4 protocol, aiming to create the first global alternative to WeChat outside China.
Albuquerque, New Mexico, September 11, 2026 — LINKSPREED LLC today launched a renewed attempt to build an EVERYTHING App. It goes deeper than any EVERYTHING App that can be created through the Studio, is built entirely on UIID technology, and is intended to establish the first genuine global alternative to WeChat.
What this is
Until now, users could build their own networks and platforms through the LINKSPREED Studio in a matter of seconds — up to and including small, community-owned super apps. That capability remains and continues to expand.
The initiative launched today operates one layer deeper. This is not another application placed on top of existing structures. It is an EVERYTHING App that sits directly on the infrastructure of Web4: on UIID as the identity layer, on the open web4:// protocol, and on the open building blocks LINKSPREED already publishes.
The difference is fundamental. An EVERYTHING App built in the Studio is a platform that belongs to someone. The EVERYTHING App launched today is a layer that belongs to no one — and in which every identity, every payment, every application and every permission is bound to the user’s own account rather than to a corporation.
Why now
There is exactly one global benchmark for super apps: WeChat.
Tencent reported 1.432 billion combined monthly active users across Weixin and WeChat for the first quarter of 2026. The platform hosts more than 4.3 million mini-programs, used by roughly 764 million people daily in 2025. WeChat Pay reaches approximately 935 million users.
Two things inside those numbers explain why this is the right moment.
First, the growth is over. Year-on-year growth was down to roughly 2 percent, and quarter-on-quarter growth to 1 percent. That is saturation, not expansion.
Second, there is no global counterpart. The overwhelming majority of those users are inside China — around 810 million people. Tencent has repeatedly tried to establish WeChat outside China, and most of those attempts have failed.
The result is a gap that has stood open for more than a decade. Over a billion people use an EVERYTHING App every day. Outside China, it simply does not exist. And where it does exist, the user’s identity belongs to the platform rather than to the user.
That is precisely where LINKSPREED begins.

The technical foundation: UIID
The EVERYTHING App launched today is not “also available with login.” It is fully UIID-based. Without a verified identity there is no access — and without a platform there is still an identity.
UIID is the biometrically secured digital password and wallet system for Web4, available as a standalone app. It functions as a decentralized digital passport that decouples identity from any individual platform and makes the user the ultimate authority over their own data.
For an EVERYTHING App, that distinction is decisive:
- One identity, many contexts. A Core ID with context-specific aliases structurally prevents services from correlating behavior across the app. Messaging, payments, commerce and community sit within a single frame without producing a single behavioral profile.
- Identity as a file. With UIID v2.10, identity is portable — a .uiid file that belongs to the person, not the provider.
- Zero trust instead of static secrets. Access runs on dynamic authorization tokens; developers build passwordless Web4 applications through the UIID API v1.
- Hardware anchoring. Biometrics and local security modules make mass bot networks and throwaway profiles economically unattractive.
This satisfies the condition on which every previous Western super app attempt has failed: bundling payments, commerce and communication into a single surface without turning it into a surveillance apparatus.
Deeper than the Studio — and why that is not a contradiction
The Studio remains the tool for anyone who wants to launch their own platform in seconds. Nothing about that changes.
The EVERYTHING App launched today is something else: the layer on which all of those platforms converge. A community built in the Studio is an island. The EVERYTHING App is the water between them — identity, payment, protocol and transport, usable by any Web4 application, without a central authority setting the rules.
That includes the components already in place: the open web4:// protocol, the open-source Web4 Lite foundation, and VIVON, the subsidiary intended to secure Web4 access over mobile data.

A renewed attempt — and we say that deliberately
LINKSPREED is explicitly calling this a renewed attempt. Earlier efforts demonstrated how difficult an EVERYTHING App is to build outside China — and exactly where they fail: a missing identity layer, missing trust, and business models that turn the user into the product.
All three are now answered. The identity layer exists and has shipped. Trust is not asserted; it is enforced by architecture. And the business model is not built on selling behavioral data.
“WeChat proved that a billion people want an EVERYTHING App. It also proved that nobody wants one on the terms that have come with it so far. We are building the first one where identity belongs to the person — not to the app.” — LINKSPREED LLC
Availability
Work began on September 11, 2026. Developers can build on the foundation today: through the UIID API v1, with SDK support for JavaScript, Python, PHP, Go and Curl plus a local Docker mock server; through the open-source Web4 Lite base; and through the UIID app for end-user access.
Further milestones will be documented publicly on an ongoing basis.
